An athletic entrepreneur, a honey industry veteran, a food product developer and a beekeeper make up the team that founded Honey Stinger. The company sources its ingredient from natural sources and does not use any artificial ingredients. The Honey Stinger waffles and chews are USDA certified organic, the protein bars are made with organic honey, while all other ingredients are all-natural. Additionally, Honey Stinger cardboard packaging materials are recyclable.

The business is wind powered and in the fall of 2010 they installed solar panels. Honey Stinger's founder and owner lives off-the-grid completely in his wind and solar-powered home. Honey Stinger employees receive incentives for commuting to work - carpooling, walking/riding, or taking public transit. The company extensively recycles everything that they possibly can that comes out of the daily operations while living out their philosophy to "treat the Earth like we should treat our bodies" with respect and health in mind.
