At KidKraft, safety and quality are the top priorities. Over the past 18 months, as the children's products industry has undergone pivotal changes, KidKraft products remain compliant with all new laws and policies. KidKraft has employed third-party certified labs for many years to test their products and verify that they meet all applicable U.S. regulatory safety standards. Their testing program ensures that the products meet or exceed all requirements, including those for mechanical hazards, lead and other heavy metals and flammability.
In 2009, the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) went into effect and set new lead limits and regulations regarding tracking labels. KidKraft's products meet these regulations. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) ACTM 93120 requirement also went into effect in 2009. This set limits on formaldehyde emissions from composite wood products being sold into California. All KidKraft factories and products are CARB compliant and will remain so as the CARB phases are implemented over the next four years.

Clean the surface using a slightly damp cloth and mild dish washing liquid if necessary. Do not use any cleaning product containing alcohol or ammonia. These will dull the shiny surface of the product. Furniture polish will also work to clean and dust off the surface.KidKraft recommends that you test all cleaning materials on the underside of any surface that would not be seen during normal use of the product. Warnings
All of KidKraft's wooden items are handcrafted, hand assembled, and hand painted. Each one is unique. Slight imperfections may occur and are not manufacturing defects. Each item has been painted with a very durable paint that is both lead and chromate free and safe for children. However, it will not withstand abnormal abuse and with improper use it could chip.Warranty
This product is warranted solely against manufacturing defects for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase, which warranty runs only to the original user of the product. In the event of a manufacturing defect, the product will be replaced or the purchase price refunded, at the election of the manufacturer. To activate and protect this warranty, preserve evidence of original purchase and carefully inspect the condition of the product prior to and after assembly, looking for missing, degraded, broken, improperly sized or hazardous parts, including parts which can be swallowed by a child, cause a child to choke, or otherwise cause injury. Should you observe any defects, do not use the product and immediately notify the manufacturer. Failure to do so shall constitute misuse.
