Features and Benefits
- Long Lasting Reservoir - Kiinde Kozii does not require that you measure or add water with each use.
- Easy to Use Timer - Simple, intuitive interface lets you know how much time is left before the meal is ready.
- Auto Shutoff - When the time is up, the warmer shuts off and completely removes the heat source from the bottle. This means no overheated bottles because your busy schedule prevented you from taking the bottle out on time!
- Universal Warming Chamber - Kozii can safely accommodate breast milk, formula, storage bags (frozen or thawed), liner bottles, plastic, glass, food jars, you name it to make feeding your baby as easy as possible!
- High Power Heater - Kozii's high power heater means less time is wasted warming up the water bath, and more time is devoted to feeding your baby a meal at a safe, low temperature.
The Kozii reservoir is 3.1" in diameter and 3" deep. The diameter is oblong, so there’s room for water to flow around a 3.1" diameter bottle.
Don't worry too much about the bottle, Kiinde claims they have never found a bottle in the US that does not fit!
Kozii also has a narrow slot with extra width to accomodate flat frozen breastmilk storage bags up to 3.8" wide. As such, Kozii will accommodate all bags they've found on the market as well.
How Safe Heat Works
Growing concerns about nutrient damage, hot spots, and plastic containers that release dangerous chemicals have underscored the importance of warming breast milk without exposing bags and bottles to dangerous steam, hot or boiling water, or the microwave.
SAFEHeat makes the warming process safer and faster by changing the fundamental mechanism used to transfer heat to the bottle or bag. A circulating bath of warm water improves warming efficiency, allowing the use of lower temperature water without compromising warming speed. The thermostatically controlled water bath is maintained at the temperature of warm tap water, but warms a bottle as quickly as warmers that reach boiling temperatures. The result is a fast bottle warmer that is safe for use with any type of bottle or bag, and designed for the needs of breast milk.
SAFEHeat ensures that the contents of the warmer are brought to the same temperature every time as easily as possible so that feeding your baby is consistent every time. A simple, easy to read timer allows the user to set the desired warming time by simply turning the knob.
When the time is up, the warming stops completely, eliminating the risk of overheating if the bottle or bag is left in Kozii for longer than intended.
The Kiinde Kozii Breast Milk and Bottle Warmer is an ecologically friendly way to prepare a meal for your child. Kozii enables you to prepare breast milk in the most energy efficient and environmentally responsible manner. A common strategy for thawing/warming breast milk is to leave the bottle/bag under warm running tap water. This is extremely wasteful and inefficient, as most of the heat, and all the water, literally goes down the drain.
Kozii recirculates water, ensuring that no water or energy is wasted in the process. Patent pending, SAFEHeat technology delivers faster and more energy efficient warming times with no risk of overheating, unlike running water or steam warmers.
Filling the Warming Chamber
It is very important that you follow the filling instructions carefully, and only add water until the water level touches the word "FULL" in the bottom of the warming chamber. The water will circulate up into the chamber during warming. Proper filling ensures that the water level will drop after warming, making sure there is no residual heating after shut off.
