Certifications
GREENGUARD
The glue used in Natura mattresses is GREENGUARD certified, which means it has undergone testing for off-gassing and adheres to strict standards. Household cleaners and glues used in furniture are the biggest contributors to poor indoor air quality.
The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute governs the GREENGUARD Certification Program and provides the world's only guide to third-party certified low-emitting interior products and building materials. All certified products undergo quarterly indoor air quality performance testing according to stringent environmental chamber testing protocols and meet current indoor air quality standards.
CentiPur
Natura's foam supplier undergoes voluntary, random testing and analysis to ensure integrity of what arrives in our factory. The foam used in their mattresses is partially made from plant-based oil to reduce their dependence on petro-chemical based manufacturing.
The CentiPUR voluntary testing, analysis and certification program was developed by members of the global foam industry in response to an increase in substandard imported foams.
Organic Crop Improvement Association
All of Natura's cotton sheeting is certified by OCIA to ensure that it's as chemical and pesticide free as their suppliers tell them it is. Supporting certified organic farms ensures that you're sleeping on the purest mattress possible.
OCIA International is one of the world's oldest, largest and most trusted leaders in the organic certification industry. A nonprofit, member-owned, agricultural organization, OCIA is dedicated to providing the highest quality organic certification services and access to global organic markets.
Bio Grow New Zealand
Not only does Natura want to ensure that their organic wool is completely free of chemicals and pesticides, but that it is also humanely harvested. Sheep shearing practices in many parts of the world are disturbing at best and Natura is a firm believer that animal rights is an important part of the equation.
BioGro is New Zealand's leading organic certification agency. Established in 1983, BioGro now certifies over 900 operations across New Zealand's primary production, processing, farm input supply, export, and retail sectors. BioGro trademarks more than $100 million worth of product every year.
Organic Trade Association
The OTA ensures that all cotton and wool Natura sources within North America adheres to guidelines that protect the environment, farmers and the public. To be recognized as an organic farm, the land must be free from chemicals and pesticides for at least 3 years prior to certification.
Organic Trade Association (OTA) is a membership-based business association that focuses on the organic business community in North America. OTA's mission is to promote and protect the growth of organic trade to benefit the environment, farmers, the public and the economy.
Oeko-Tex
Natura's natural Talalay latex is certified by the recognized industry leader in textile certification. To be recognized by Oeko-Tex, a product must pose "no risk whatsoever to health."
The Oeko-Tex Standard 100 was introduced at the beginning of the 1990s as a response to the needs of the general public for textiles which posed no risk to health. The Austrian Textile Research Institute (OTI) and the German Research Institute Hohenstein therefore jointly developed the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 on the basis of their existing test standards.
Forestry Stewardship Council
FSC is an international certification and labeling system that guarantees that the forest products you purchase come from responsibly managed forests and verified recycled sources.
Rainforest Alliance

No Greenwashing Here
Natura is committed to transparency, which is why they measure natural content by weight. Their mattress tags tell you exactly how natural your mattress is and why. And while there is no such thing as a purely organic mattress, they tell you what components in your mattress are certified organic so you can make an educated choice.
We believe you have a right to know what you're sleeping on end of story. No spin. No greenwashing. Just the facts. So click each certification below to find out more about how Natura is working to keep your products green.
Natura believes that a productive day stems from a good night's sleep and that a healthy sleep starts with natural ingredients. Natura practices eco-logic in everything it does, from plant practices to its corporate office to how it ships its products.
Natura's vision of a greener world is seen in their many operations. All lighting in the plant, office, and outdoors are powered by energy-efficient blubs that require 55% less energy. Ceilings in the plant were painted white to reflect light and reduce lighting usage. Forklifts and tow motors are all battery operated to reduce emissions within the plant. All computers in the plant and offices are shut off every night. These, among other efforts, are just a few of the many strides Natura makes every day to promote environmental awareness and contribute to the preservation of the world's resources.
Natura is committed to improving the quality of life of its patrons through healthy sleep. Natura's certifications demonstrate its allegiance to wellbeing and to reducing its carbon footprint through green manufacturing. Just a few certifications Natura holds include the Organic Trade Association, Sustainable Furnishings Council, Rainforest Alliance, Organic Crop Improvement Association, Eco Institute and the Forestry Stewardship Council.
