The wood used to make the blocks is sustainable Michigan Basswood while the paint used is a non-toxic paint from a company in USA. Every gallon of paint received from this company is tested by Uncle Goose to ensure quality and safety.
Once the materials have been gathered the blocks are handmade in the USA. Since all of the materials come from the USA and the product is made in the USA this drastically reduces the carbon emissions of transporting the raw materials and the finished product. Additionally, with everything happening close by Uncle Goose is better able to perform tests to make sure everything is up to par.
In fact, Uncle Goose has 8 points of inspection in the process to make sure everything is ok to be around your child. Directions
To clean your blocks it is recommended that your use a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid getting the embossed sides wet since moisture is prone to clinging to crevices. It is important that you use minimal amounts of water though because moisture can lead to untreated wood becoming damaged or warped.
Warranty
If your block is cracked or damaged please contact Uncle Goose and they will be happy to replace the block. Mineral streaks, pinholes and wood grains are not considered defects.
