Wishbone maintains an eco-friendly production from start to finish. Wishbone uses sustainably managed European Beech wood, glues and finishes that are non-toxic and no plastic packaging.
Wishbone seats are made with silicone instead of traditional plastics. Silicone manufacturing uses less energy and water than alternative plastics and has zero petrochemicals. They also regularly test for lead, phthalates, and cadmium.
Since 2008, when Wishbone adopted a no plastic packaging policy, all packaging has been previously recycled, is chlorine free and can be recycled again. Then in August 2008, Wishbone began to carbon offset all necessary air travel. Most recently Wishbone has been using certified organic cotton to make their spare parts bags.
Wishbone has definitely been doing their part to reduce their environmental footprint and continue to seek new ways to help reduce waste.
Safety Requirements
- Proper protective gear should be worn while riding Wishbone Bike. This includes closed shoes, a protective helmet at all times, long pants and elbow and knee pads
- Never allow more than one rider at a time.
- Active adult supervision is required at all times to reduce the risk of injury or death. Use extreme caution at all times.
- Never use the bike on public roads or highways or in other areas where motor vehicles are present.
- Never use the bike on sloping areas or near steps, driveways, roads, bodies of water, or swimming pools.
