What is xylitol?
A healthy, natural alternative to sugar, xylitol is a natural white crystalline sweetener that looks and tastes just like sugar. It has the same sweetness as sugar yet has 40% fewer calories, 75% fewer carbohydrates and none of the negative effects of sugar. Xylitol also lacks the health concerns associated with artificial sweeteners. It has a low glycemic index of 7 and has minimal effects on blood sugar.

Over 20 years worth of clinical studies confirms that xylitol is the best sweetener for teeth. Classified as a carbohydrate, xylitol has been used as a food ingredient for decades. Unlike foods with high amounts of starch and sugar, xylitol may reduce the risk of dental caries.

On food labels xylitol is classified as a carbohydrate. Chemically speaking, it is a member of the polyol family of sweeteners and not actually sugar. Xylitol differs from other polyol sweeteners like sorbitol, mannitol and maltitol, and also sugar (sucrose), in the fact that it does not display any of the negative insulin release effects as sugar.

There are many options when it comes to sugar-free chewing gum and other sugar-free products. What many people do not realize is that most of these companies use artificial sweeteners. When it comes to your health there should be no compromise. All XyloBurst products are sweetened with 100% all-natural xylitol. With XyloBurst quality and good health come first.

Where does xylitol come from?
Xylitol is found in a number of fruits and vegetables, such as plums, berries and mushrooms, and is also produced naturally in the human body. The human body produces up to 15 grams of xylitol each day through normal food digestion processes. Xylitol produced for consumption as a sweetener is most commonly extracted from corn cobs/stalks, cane bagasse or from hard woods such as birch trees. XyloBurst xylitol is produced in the USA from birch. However, xylitol produced from any source is always molecularly identical. Xylitol is xylitol no matter its source.

Ingredients

Xylitol, gum base, natural flavors, vegetable glycerin, gum arabic, soy lecithin, titanium dioxide, and beeswax. XyloBurst fruit gum does contain some artificial flavors.

Suggested Uses

How Much Xylitol?
It is recommended to consume 6 to 8 grams of xylitol each day. And keeping track of your daily xylitol intake is very easy. Each piece of XyloBurst chewing gum has just over 1 gram of xylitol and each XyloBurst mint has .5 grams each.

How often should I use Xylitol?
For best results XyloBurst products need to be consumed on a regular, consistent basis. If only consumed occasionally or consumed as little as once a day, xylitol may not be effective. Remember to chew your favorite XyloBurst gum at least 3 times throughout the day. Chewing 2 pieces of XyloBurst gum after every meal and 1 to 2 XyloBurst breath mints in between, along with regular brushing and flossing, is the ideal schedule for improved oral health.
